Molino Rufino Ortega

 
The old wind mill, along with the house occupied  by the Provincial bord of Woods and Parks, the museum and the Yesterday Park are part of the area that belonged to Rufino Ortega. That stablishment is called Estancia Orteguina, it reached the village and it was the most extensive of Malargue (Malarg|e).

The beginning of plantation and harvesting of wheat started in the Caqada Colorada farm, due to the need of processing wheat a wind mill is built with mud walls and wood for the roof  (cabriadas), Its walls have over 1,20 mts. thick on its ground floord. It was built in 1876 and its activity lasted until the beginning of the XX century.
